How to whitelist email from Corporate Europe Observatory

Even as email providers like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and others have become better at filtering spam, they sometimes mistakenly block legitimate emails. By whitelisting Corporate Europe Observatory's email, you ensure that you don't miss out on important insights and announcements due to these filters.

How can you whitelist emails from Corporate Europe Observatory?

Different email services have varied methods for whitelisting. Here are steps for some common providers. If yours isn't listed, let me know on martin.masaATcorporateeurope.org.

Mozilla Thunderbird:

  1. Open Thunderbird and select the menu icon (hamburger).
  2. Choose 'Options', then 'Account Settings' from the sub-menu.
  3. In 'Account Settings', navigate to 'Junk Settings'.
  4. Check the option "Do not mark mail as junk if the sender is in" and ensure 'Personal Address Book' is selected, then click 'OK'.
  5. Add our email address to your Personal Address Book by clicking the 'Address Book' button, then 'New Contact'.
  6. Enter the email address you want to whitelist, ensure 'Personal Address Book' is selected for 'Add to', and click 'OK'.

ProtonMail:

  1. Log into your ProtonMail account.
  2. Click the Settings gear icon in the top right and select the “All settings” button.
  3. Navigate to the “Filters” tab.
  4. Click “Add address or domain” under the Spam, block, and allow lists section, then choose "Allow".
  5. Enter our sender’s email or domain name (crmATcorporateeurope.org) and click “Add address”.

Gmail:

  1. Find an email from Corporate Europe Observatory in your inbox.
  2. Drag it to the “Primary” tab.
  3. When asked if you want to do this for future messages, select “Yes.”

Hotmail/Outlook.com:

  1. Click the gear icon and select “Options.”
  2. Go to “Junk email” and click “Safe senders.”
  3. Add "corporateeurope.org" to the list.
  4. Save your changes.

Yahoo! Mail:

  1. Go to your Contacts and select “New Contact.”
  2. Add Corporate Europe Observatory as the name and crmATcorporateeurope.org as the email.
  3. Save the new contact.

AOL Webmail:

  1. In contacts, select “New Contact.”
  2. Enter Corporate Europe Observatory's details and the email address crmATcorporateeurope.org.
  3. Click “Add Contact.”

Outlook 2003 & Later:

  1. Right-click on an email from Corporate Europe Observatory.
  2. Hover over “Junk E-mail” and select “Add Sender to Safe Senders List.”

Riseup.net

  1. Log in to your Riseup email account.
  2. Go to the ‘Settings’ or ‘Preferences’ section of your email account.
  3. Look for a section labeled 'Filters', 'Junk', or 'Spam Management'.
  4. There should be an option to create a new filter or rule.
  5. Set up a filter that specifies that emails from a certain address (e.g., crmATcorporateeurope.org) should never be sent to Spam or Junk.
  6. You may need to specify criteria such as “If the From header contains [the email address]” and then set the action to “Do not mark as spam” or “Move to Inbox”.
  7. Save or apply the changes.
